Coaches Registration
5 Steps To Register As A Coach
You must be approved by the directors of coaches, Mark Ure, before registering as a coach.
Take all appropriate soccer classes for the relevant ages. All coaches need to do this.
Go to https://learning.ussoccer.com Log in or create an account if new user. Navigate to online courses. If new coach, you must first take Intro to Grassroots. All coaches must take each class up to the division they will coach. Example, if you are coaching U12, you must take Introduction to Grassroots, then 4v4, then 7v7, then 9v9. Example If you are coaching u8, all you need to take is Grassroots, then 4v4.
NEW AND RETURNING COACHES must fulfill HYSA requirements. To do so, follow these steps.
a. Go here to login (DO NOT CLICK REGISTRATION, just login). If new, you just created your login in Step 2 above.
b. Click ‘MY ACCOUNT’ top right. Click your profile, add a profile picture (cannot coach without picture).
c. Click ‘Certificates”
d. Upload drivers license
e. CAREFULLY READ instructions under ‘Certificates’. After you carefully read instructions, click the blue links for both SafeSport and HCAMP. Watch all videos to obtain certificates. If you are a returning coach from Fall US Club season, and you took SafeSport after July 31st, your SafeSport certificate should still be valid for upload and thus you do not need a refresher course.
Risk Management All coaches need to do this. (only do this if you are new or have an expired pass, to check if expired, look on the back of last year’s pass for expiration date)
Once you completed step 2 and 3, click here to complete Risk Management (another term for background check). If you did a background check for Fall Season, you still need to do this one. After you click above link, then log in using your HYSA login. Click continue and follow the directions carefully! At the end you will need to pay a fee for the background check. PLEASE READ: you are not done until you see the below page and click SUBMIT BGC.
THE FINAL STEP IS TO CLICK “SUBMIT BGC”. YOU HAVE NOT COMPLETED RISK MANAGEMENT UNTIL YOU CLICKED THE GREEN BUTTON
